WORKSHOPS

The Art of Storytelling – Learn methods and techniques of finding and telling stories for the beginner storyteller.  Discover ways to make the stories you tell come alive through the skill of making the story “your own.”

Passing on Your Legacy through Storytelling – Take the path down memory lane as you gather personal and family information then turn them from conversation into stories.  “The Laundry Line of Life” is a segment I use to help you investigate the events that happened around the world that may have influenced your family history.  Take away from the workshop a recording of a story that you can pass on to your family for a “Gift of a Lifetime.”

Creating a History Camp for Youth – You will learn creative ways to present pioneer history to youth through storytelling activities.  Use of brief biographies of historical people of the region, photographs and historical events assist the youth to become “History Keepers.”  Create crafts from stories told to enhance the “History Keepers” trip back in time.

Storytelling Techniques for Naturalists – As a storyteller at the campgrounds of Larimer County Parks and Open Lands, I share techniques and experiences of telling camping, environmental, myths, legends and personal camping experiences with Naturalists.  In turn, the Naturalists practice the information they have to share with visitors to the campgrounds and trails in the Parks and Open Lands.

Rocky Mountain Storytelling Conferences – Storytelling on the Radio.  Presented with other storytelling radio hosts/producers, Bailey Phelps, Eric Patterson and Gail Larsen Khasawneh.
